Join our Recherche & Development team and contribute to the evolution of our advanced fire protection systems, designed and manufactured by Systèmes FireFlex Inc.
Under the supervision of the R&D Manager, you will take part in testing, data analysis, and result validation as part of product improvement and development projects.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing various mechanical and electrical tests to ensure products meet requirements for commercialization, and providing recommendations.
- Assembling electromechanical prototypes of fire protection systems and contributing to their optimization.
- Managing the calibration of production and R&D instruments.
- Writing reports and handling documentation.
- Supporting the transition of R&D projects to production.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and adapting to tight schedules and atypical working hours.
Qualifications:
- DEC in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other relevant training
- At least 2 years of experience in research and development, quality assurance, or validation testing
- Excellent command of spoken and written French, and professional fluency in English, both oral and written*
- Attention to detail and interest in hands-on work
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of AutoCAD or Inventor (an asset)
- Strong analytical skills and a keen sense of organization
- Ability to show initiative and work independently in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada or abroad (1 to 5 times per year)
- Knowledge of programming (Arduino, C, C++) is an asset
