Join our team as a Corporate Buyer, where you will be responsible for procurement in the Western Canadian regions while being based in Boisbriand, QC. Your responsibilities will include:
- Research and identify the best sourcing options;
- Place purchase orders with various suppliers;
- Efficiently managing inventory by ensuring the accuracy of inventory, order, purchase, and sales data from the Microsoft Dynamics SL management system, and maintaining an adequate stock level to meet the desired service level;
- Analyze the daily order summary to optimize transportation and purchasing conditions based on negotiated agreements and addressing any issues that arise;
- Conduct purchase forecasts, periodic inventory assessments, and stock control to maintain the overall inventory level within established targets;
- Ensure optimal stock distribution across all warehouses and improving the inter-warehouse transfer process;
- Receive goods and coordinate material movements while ensuring proper follow-up;
- Participate in procurement planning to enhance operational efficiency;
- Conduct annual supplier evaluations;
- Maintain and update the supplier database.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or certificate in supply chain, inventory, purchasing, or equivalent;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement;
- Fluency in spoken and written English and French[1];
- Strong proficiency in various computer applications (mandatory: Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills);
- Excellent organizational skills (methodical and structured), with a strong focus on attention to detail (precision) and continuous improvement;
- High level of initiative and resourcefulness, with strong autonomy;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, as the holder of this position will be in regular contact with our offices in other Canadian provinces or with clients outside Quebec.
