Accounts Payable Clerk

As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for data entry and accounts payable activities (invoices, payments, balance tracking, and discrepancy resolution). You will ensure the timely and accurate processing of transactions while working closely with the internal team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Verify and record supplier invoices, credit card statements, and assist with payment processing
  • Reconcile paid invoices with supplier statements
  • Perform monthly compilation of company credit card expenses
  • Process pre-authorized payments
  • Reconcile the report of receipts not matched to invoices
  • Resolve issues related to vendor transactions and interdepartmental matters, such as incorrect purchase orders, pending credits, and duplicate billings
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox on a rotating basis with other team members
  • Open and create supplier accounts in the system
  • Provide quality customer service to internal teams and vendors

Qualifications

  • DEC or AEC in accounting, or a high school diploma with equivalent relevant experience;
  • 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in accounts payable;
  • Strong command of spoken and written French and English (essential);
  • Good knowledge of general Excel functions;
  • Experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics SL is an asset);
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset);
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
